What People Have to Say

Client & Customer Testimonials

I took two of Jenna's workshops, Montessori at Home and Montessori Guide to Gentle Parenting and Discipline and I am so happy with the results.

I've been interested in the Montessori method for a long time and it was great to have a better understanding of the framework and be able to ask specific questions and get practical tools to help my needs and address the challenges I've been having with my toddler. I immediately stopped yelling so much and have since found a more peaceful approach to parenting that works for me and my family.

Jenna is wonderful and has answered my questions/shared information with me even after the workshop. I'm excited for her future classes and will definitely be there for all of them!

I got the Fossil Kit with dinosaurs for my son's fourth birthday and he loves it!

I showed him how to make the fossils using the lesson plan included (really straight-forward and easy to follow!) and he sat with it for an hour the first time! He came back to it several times the same day, alternating between making fossils, role playing with the dinosaurs and shaping/stretching the clay.

By the third time he had perfected the sizing/rolling of the clay to make the perfect fossil.

It was neat to watch my active, often rambunctious child concentrate for so long and take such pride in his work!

Frequently Asked Questions

Most frequent questions and answers

Montessori is an educational philosophy based around following the natural development of the child. Maria Montessori based the Montessori Approach on her fundamental discoveries of the Absorbent Mind and The Sensitive Periods of Learning.

Children from birth to age six have what Maria Montessori called an Absorbent Mind. What this means is that children within this age group are able to absorb vast amounts of information easily, just like a sponge soaks up water.

Maria Montessori also discovered that children go through different Sensitive Periods of Learning. Sensitive periods of learning are developmental windows where it is easier for the child to learn a certain skill.

The difference between modern and traditional Montessori is very minute. I am very particular about the Montessori Philosophy and staying true to it.

I have “evolved” the Montessori Philosophy to fit into today’s world, while still staying true to the philosophy.

Modern Montessori is the Montessori approach adapted for today’s world.

Anyone can incorporate the Montessori Approach into their lives. Depending on your lifestyle and preferences, I can create a plan that works for your life.

It’s all about following the natural development of your child.

The most impactful place to start is with your environment and your child’s toys.

Ensuring your child is in an environment that revolves around them and that they have purposeful toys, which meet their developmental needs.
