Client & Customer Testimonials
Montessori is an educational philosophy based around following the natural development of the child. Maria Montessori based the Montessori Approach on her fundamental discoveries of the Absorbent Mind and The Sensitive Periods of Learning.
Children from birth to age six have what Maria Montessori called an Absorbent Mind. What this means is that children within this age group are able to absorb vast amounts of information easily, just like a sponge soaks up water.
Maria Montessori also discovered that children go through different Sensitive Periods of Learning. Sensitive periods of learning are developmental windows where it is easier for the child to learn a certain skill.
The difference between modern and traditional Montessori is very minute. I am very particular about the Montessori Philosophy and staying true to it.
I have “evolved” the Montessori Philosophy to fit into today’s world, while still staying true to the philosophy.
Modern Montessori is the Montessori approach adapted for today’s world.
Absolutely!
Anyone can incorporate the Montessori Approach into their lives. Depending on your lifestyle and preferences, I can create a plan that works for your life.
It’s all about following the natural development of your child.
The most impactful place to start is with your environment and your child’s toys.
Ensuring your child is in an environment that revolves around them and that they have purposeful toys, which meet their developmental needs.
